To set up a printer for the first time, remove the printer and all packing materials from the box, install the battery, connect the power cable, set control panel preferences, load paper, and then install the ink cartridges. Replace ink cartridges that are low or out of ink with new, genuine HP cartridges. Replace the ink cartridge Replace any low or empty ink cartridges. Turn on the printer. Make sure plain white paper is loaded in the input tray. Open the ink cartridge access door. Figure : Opening the ink cartridge access door Wait until the carriage is idle and silent before you continue. To release the ink cartridge, lift the ink cartridge latch. Load envelopes into the printer How you load envelopes depends on what type of printer you have and where the paper input tray is located. HP OfficeJet 200 Printer is offline or unavailable Check for error states and connection issues if the printer status is Offline or Printer is unavailable. Perform the following tasks in the order given. Use the printer after each task to see if the issue is resolved. Restart devices Restart your computer or mobile device and the printer to clear any error states. If you are using a network printer, restart the router. If your printer connects to a Wi-Fi network, disconnect your computer or mobile device from the network name (SSID), and then reconnect it to the same network name your printer is connected to. If the printer is available and has a ready status, the issue is resolved. You do not need to continue troubleshooting. Press the power button to turn off the printer.
